Victoria is an Australian-born actor, singer, songwriter, and producer whose creative life spans stage, recording, entrepreneurship, and screen. Known for portraying intelligent, complex women—from sharp-witted professionals and emotionally layered matriarchs to enigmatic outsiders, powerful eccentrics, and characters who inhabit darker or more fantastical worlds—her work blends depth, presence, mystery, and a quietly commanding energy.

A lifelong artist, Victoria’s journey has taken her from musical theatre and recording studios to songwriting, technology startups, and film. Through every chapter, storytelling and creative expression have remained at the heart of her work.

Victoria is drawn to characters who sit at the intersection of strength, vulnerability, mystery, and transformation—whether grounded in contemporary realism or inhabiting heightened, surreal, and fantastical worlds.

Early Beginnings

Born as a Wu in Melbourne, Australia, Victoria began her artistic journey at the age of seven, with piano lessons and endless hours of practice, fueled in part by her family’s lack of a television. With limited distractions, her childhood revolved around reading, listening to the radio, and playing music.

Her passion for performance was sparked at age twelve when her sixth-grade teacher introduced her class to The Sound of Music, leaving her captivated by the story and songs. From that point on, Victoria spent her time seeking out sheet music (long before the internet) and experimenting with songs on the piano while singing.

Her repertoire grew to include Billy Joel, 70s and 80s pop, movie themes, jazz standards, and musical theatre—laying the foundation for a lifelong connection to music and performance.

By fifteen, she transitioned into vocal training, beginning a decade-long exploration of classical, musical theatre, jazz, and standards techniques at the William Bates Academy of Performing Arts, alongside acting training. She later refined pop and R&B styles with contemporary teachers and completed the Acting & Movement Course for Singers at the National Theatre in 1991.

Music and Performance

At twenty, Victoria discovered her unshakable passion for live performance, singing and playing keyboards in countless bands and music groups. Over the years she has graced many stages as a frontwoman, vocalist, dancer, and keyboardist.

Her professional music career took off in 1992 when she was signed to Sony Music Australia as part of the group Culture Shock.

In 1996 she joined the Sydney production of Miss Saigon, performing in the chorus and understudying the role of Gigi.

Alongside a successful performance career, Victoria developed as a songwriter and producer, contributing to projects for artists including Backstreet Boys and Engelbert Humperdinck, as well as numerous artists from Australian Idol. These projects achieved over 15 million international sales and earned multiple industry accolades.

Building Songtradr

In 2013 Victoria relocated to Los Angeles and became a co-founder of Songtradr, a music technology company that grew into a global platform serving creators, rights holders, and brands.

True to her multidisciplinary nature, Victoria built and led several core areas of the company including design, content, customer support, and HR. She also produced and hosted global company events such as Songtradr Happy Hour, featuring industry guests including director Jon Turteltaub and composer David Hirschfelder.

During this chapter of her life, Victoria worked professionally under the name Victoria Wiltshire, building a career that spanned songwriting, production, entrepreneurship, and later a return to acting. Many of her creative and business accomplishments from this period remain credited under that name.

A Return to the Artist

Despite her entrepreneurial ventures, Victoria has never strayed far from her creative roots.

In 2023 she participated in the Hollywood Fringe Festival, earning the Hollywood Fringe Encore Producers' Award for her role as The Alchemist in an immersive theatre production.

She has continued to deepen her craft through training at leading Los Angeles institutions including the Stella Adler Studio and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.

For Victoria, it has always been about telling meaningful stories and creating work that connects with people. She credits her journey to the many teachers, collaborators, and creative communities that have shaped her path, and remains excited by new artistic challenges and collaborations.

She loves movies, singing, bold red wines, great food, and cats—and is always inspired by opportunities to create, learn, and explore new ideas.
